The affairs of the Museum of Jurassic Technology Gift Shop are conducted under the careful supervision of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Information, as well as the trustees of the Museum itself. Every publication and commemorative object is chosen for its potential to further the Museum's greater mandate of leading the learner "... from familiar objects toward the unfamiliar, guided along as it were, a chain of flowers, into the mysteries of life."
Many of our items are produced by and for the Museum only, and the quality of Museum reproductions and adaptations is an overriding concern. Many years is not an uncommon span for the development of a single object, and the satisfaction of friends and members of the Museum who purchase from us is unconditionally guaranteed. Proceeds, as always, are used entirely in support of the Museum and its programs.

Membership Discounts
Current members of the Museum receive a 10% discount on most Gift Shop purchases. Please be sure to check the box at the bottom of your shopping cart to alert us of your member status. Due to the constraints of our web site, we are unable to apply your discount until after the checkout process. We will, however, apply the discount before we process your payment. Please see our Membership page for more information, or contact us with any questions. Please note that memberships, gift certificates, and shipping fees are not eligible for a discount.
Payment Options
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express. We also offer checkout through PayPal. If you wish to pay by check or money order, please send an email to orders@mjt.org, or call (310) 836-6131, to make arrangements.
Gift Certificates
The Museum of Jurassic Technology is pleased to offer gift certificates in any denomination, for use at both our physical and online gift shops. To redeem a gift certificate online, please type your gift certificate number in the "Order Notes" section at checkout. Due to the constraints of our web site, we are unable to apply your certificate balance until after the checkout process. This means, unfortunately, that even if your certificate covers your entire purchase, you will still need to enter a credit card number, and your card will be automatically authorized (but not charged) for the total amount of your order. Please be assured that we will ONLY process your payment if your gift certificate does not cover your total purchase -- and only for the difference between the two. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Sales Tax
Residents of California will be charged 8.75% sales tax on eligible items. Memberships and donations are not taxed, and are thus fully tax-deductible.
Shipping Information
The Museum of Jurassic Technology Online Gift Shop ships parcels, by default, via USPS First-Class (under 8 oz) or USPS Priority Mail (Domestic and International packages). Shipping charges are calculated by a combination of weight, fragility, and bulk. We use USPS Priority Flat-Rate boxes whenever possible to ensure a competitive and fair price.
All orders are filled and shipped on Tuesdays and Fridays.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS PLEASE NOTE: Parcels are shipped via Global Priority (approx. 6-10 days) by default. Every effort has been made to provide accurate shipping estimates at checkout. However, if the actual cost to ship your package is significantly less than the amount quoted at checkout, the difference will be subtracted from the order total when your payment is processed and we will notify you by e-mail. If you would like a precise quote of shipping costs or would prefer to have your order shipped via Parcel Post (where available), please contact us!
All parcels shipped via USPS Priority will include shipment notification and tracking information. We provide free insurance for all orders over $100. For orders under $100, please let us know if you would like your parcel insured for an additional $1.75.
Returns Policy
All items exclusively commemorating the Museum of Jurassic Technology are returnable for store credit, regardless of receipt or date of purchase.
All items purchased in the Museum Gift Shop or through the Online Store are eligible for a full refund providing that the item is in unused condition and there is an accompanying receipt of purchase.
