The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Information is very pleased to welcome the summer with an evening of Romanian, Moldovan, and Jewish music performed by Cory Beers on cimbalom, Joshua Kaufman on accordion, Eliana Athayde on double bass, Zac Sokolow on violin, and Charles De Castro on trumpet.

Cory Beers completed his cimbalom studies at the Conservatory of Music in Chişinău, Moldova.  Following his return in 2014 he recruited fellow Blasting Company members Brandon Armstrong and Joshua Kaufman to begin his new ensemble, the Cory Beers Cimbalom Band. Now a five piece with Eliana Athayde, Zac Sokolow, and Charles De Castro, the band recently performed at Van Dyke Parks’s "Cimbalom" concert
