In 1933, father of modern semantics Alfred Korzybski (1879-1950) wrote Science and Sanity, the book that would come to usher in the Post-Aristotelian age and a new era of semantic theory.  Considered one of the most influential books of the field, Science and Sanity explores the conceptual systems through which humanity perceives reality, and the ways in which human perception is influenced and altered by the nervous systems and other internal biological factors. Written originally in the age of Einsteinian innovations and the nascence of quantum mechanics, Korzybski calls for a non-Aristotelian paradigm to join the Non-Euclidian and Non-Newtonian systems of science and mathematics.  In its 6th edition, this stately hardcover book offers a catalogue of prolific introductions to the text, both by primary scholars and Korzybski himself, followed by a revolutionary 800-some pages of exposition and diagrammatic illustrations.
