In 1936, Geoffrey Sonnabend returned from Iguazu, Argentina to study in Evanston, Illinois, where he began work on his magnum opus, Obliscence: Theories of Forgetting and the Problem of Matter. This garment bears the diagrammatic culmination of Sonnabend's life's work. More information on this exhibit from the Museum's Foundation Collection can be found here.

Black imprint on jersey tee; image measures approximately 9.5 x 10 inches. A small, 1-inch version of the Museum's "Mr. J" logo is printed on the back, just below the collar. The shirt is of an off-white heavyweight cotton and has a full, boxy cut.  Please note that our shirts tend to run on the larger side, and this shirt is made of a natural, unbleached cotton that may have slight variations in color.
