ΔΡΩΜΕΝΟ - a cultural event or ritual

Dromeno is a traditional ensemble presenting authentic regional music from the Greek mainland and beyond, overlapping into the surrounding regions and finding the musical legacy that connects the traditions of the Balkans. Featuring clarinet and voices, the instrumentation also includes accordion,  laouto and percussion. This concert showcases the music of Epiros and Thessaly, with soulful vocal harmonies and meditative improvised solos. The musicians comprise the husband and wife team, Christos Govetas and Ruth Hunter, along with their daughter, Eleni Govetas,  and laouto and guitar player Nikos Maroussis.
