The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Information is very pleased to announce an evening of music from Romania and Moldova, with special emphasis on Jewish music, performed on violin and accordion by Lulu Starr and Joshua Kaufman.

Joshua Kaufman and Lulu Starr will be performing music from Romania and Moldova, with an emphasis on Jewish songs. Joshua Kaufman (accordion) co-founded & performs with the Petrojvic Blasting Company and The Cory Beers Cimbalom Band. Lulu Starr (violin) co-founded & performs with Taraf de Akácfa, in Budapest Hungary. She has studied at length with Roma musicians in Romania and Transylvania. Both Lulu and Joshua have extensively studied Romanian and Jewish music, and they enjoy traveling and playing together as much as possible.
