Designed in conjunction with Takayuki Ohira, creator of the Megastar, the world’s most advanced planetarium, with support from the Open Lab at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). This pinhole planetarium is capable of projecting an unprecedented number of stars: approximately 10,000 fixed stars of the seventh magnitude and higher (including the Milky Way) have been plotted on the dodecahedron structure. The angle and rotation of this motorized stellar globe can be set to project either the Northern or Southern hemisphere night sky, and the included light bulb is specially manufactured for brightness and clarity of image. In a darkened room, the effect is truly mesmerizing.
