The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Information is very pleased to present an evening of Romanian and Moldovan folk music for violin, cimbalom, and accordion performed by Taraf de Akácfa.

All seats have been reserved for both sets. All seats for both performances have been reserved. Taraf de Akácfa

from Budapest, Hungary

An evening of Romanian and Moldovan folk music performed by Lulu Starr on violin, Ion Curteanu on cimbalom, and Joshua Kaufman on accordion. A special part of the concert will feature Cory Beers and Ion Curteanu playing double cimbalom pieces. Dmitri Gaskin will also be featured on accordion. 

Taraf de Akácfa performs the rich repertoire of Romanian folk music with distinctive interpretations and dynamic arrangements. They focus on the complex, southern Romanian style, Lăutarească, and incorporate a variety of traditional music from Moldova, Transylvania and the Balkans. 

Masking will be encouraged at this concert.

No tickets will be mailed to you.
 Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of the performance to qualify for a refund.
