M. A. Peers Catalogue
By M. A. Peers, Foreword by Rebecca McGrew, Essay by Doug Harvey
M. A. Peers is a Los Angeles-based painter and longtime friend and collaborator of the Museum of Jurassic Technology. Those who have visited the Museum may recognize, in this overview of her work, the larger-than-life oil painting portraits of the Dogs of the Soviet Space Program — Belka, Strelka, Laika, Ugolyok, and Zvyezdochka — which hang just outside the Borzoi Kabinet Theater. (More information on this ongoing exhibit from the Museum's collection can be found here.) Also included in this brief but visually captivating book is a photo of the same exhibit as it was displayed at the V. Gloushko Space and Rocket Engineering Fortress in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2009.
