These traditional samovar ornaments are meticulously hand-painted and crafted in Ukraine out of mouth-blown German glass. Measuring 3.85 Inches in Height x 2.4 Inches in Width, the samovar ornament commemorates rich Slavic cultural tradition and serve as beautifully detailed holiday heirlooms. A staple of Eastern European Culture, the samovar (самовар) is a metal container used for keeping water heated via an internal chimney filled with hot coals or kindling. The samovar not only keeps water warm in the household, but also heats the room and assists in traditional tea service. A ring-shaped holder atop its lid will typically support a pot of tea concentrate, making it so that hot tea is easily accessible throughout the coldest of days. The Tula Tea Room at the Museum of Jurassic Technology proudly serves tea from an antique Russian samovar.
