First described by British mathematician William George Horner in 1834 and popularized in the 1860s, the zoetrope is a device that produces the illusion of motion. When the cylinder spins and the viewer looks through the slits at the pictures on the opposite side of the cylinder's interior, the rapid succession of still images produces the illusion of movement.

This die cut kit is easily assembled with a bit of glue. Step-by-step photo instructions and six interchangeable picture strips included. Made in Hungary.
