The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Information is very pleased to present an evening of music performed by Biliana Voutchkova.
Tickets to this performance will be made available to Museum members on Tuesday, September 3rd. If any tickets remain available on Wednesday, September 4th, they will go on sale for non-members.

Like A Giant Instrument
Biliana Voutchkova: composition, violin, voice, field recordings, bells
Biliana Voutchkova presents a new site specific work at The Museum of Jurassic Technology, including a mini-speaker sound installation in the columbarium and a site specific live performance in the courtyard. For the installation, Voutchkova recorded the indoor and outdoor soundscapes and played the instruments kept in the museum, alongside her own voice and violin. Through meditative deep listening Voutchkova finds synchronicity and connectivity to the pre-existing sound environment. The overall installation-performance manifests into an aural ritual commemorating recent deaths of human and nonhuman beings, inviting the listeners to a state of raised attentiveness towards personal and imaginary habitats.

Masking will be encouraged at this concert.
